Match 1 S C'field 20- 20 Burton
Burton made an impressive start to the first game with some good passing and support play. A knock on led to turnover ball and Sutton showed they could attack too, but Burtons defence continued there improvement. Hector Abel opened the scoring with a superb run down the wing. Sutton replied with 2 tries before Dominic Sturman showed his no nonsense straight line attack to score. Another try by Sutton put them back in the lead, until Mathew Lumby got on the end of a great passing move to jink his way over the line. A late try for Sutton left them believing they had won, until, with the last play called Hector Abel recieved a pass mid-field and swerved up the line to score in the corner.
Match 2 S C'Field 10-30 Burton
Burton came out the blocks flying in the second match, and some good individual skills coupled with some excellent team moves saw them comfortable winners.
Ben Mumford opened the scoring when he danced his way through the defence, not to be outclassed Ben Blackham scorched through the defence. Then, with a move that left supporters gasping, every Burton player had a hand in a move that saw Marcus Tolley touch down. Naill Bradley amazed his dad by being in the right place to recieve a pass off Marcus Tolley and score. Further tries by Ben Mumford and Marcus Tolley completed Burtons scoring.
Match 3 S C'Field 15-15 Burton
Burtons final match saw a more determined defence by Sutton, and in a match that swung from end to end with good passing and support play off both teams, a draw seemed to be the fairest result. Ben Mumford(2) and Ben Blackham were Burtons scorers
