Burton started their first game against a very strong Old Northamptonians side, although they never dropped their heads, and had a few good scoring chances, they were always second best.
With their first game under their belts Burton came out all guns firing against Rugby and they quickly got on the score sheet. A better defence from Burton helped them pull into a 3-0 lead, finally running 5-3 winners.
After dinner Burton's hot-dogs weighed them down and a lack lustre performance saw Rugby Lions 2nd team coast to a 4-2 victory.
Burton's final two games against Ampthill and Market Harborough saw two fantastic games which either team could have won. Unfortunately, Burton narrowly lost out on both occasions.
The results do not mirror the commitment and effort the youngsters showed and the coaches were well pleased with the day's performance
