Prima Cup

Selected as winners from the Regional Festival, the matches were played at Welford Rd immediately after Leicester Tigers home game against Worcester Warriors.

Battling freezing conditions as the evening set in, the team narrowly lost their first game to Newark by a single try in a highly competitive game. Not dejected, they next put in a fantastic performance to win their second game against Kesteven. In both games, all the kids worked incredibly hard for each other, showing real ability with ball in hand and commitment to tackling. Great tries were scored by Harrison Smith, John Martin, and Ryan Moll. Despite not qualifying for the final, victory in the last game meant the children came away from the tournament on a real high. A memorable experience for everyone involved.

A special mention too for the fantastic support we had. Not just the parents, but the Burton Girls with coaches who had stayed on to cheer. By far the most vocal on the day !!
