Today the lads hosted a Mighty Moseley team.
Burton had a good numbers today around 26 lads all eager to play.
The game was split into 3 x 20 minute sessions.
Both teams were keen to make a stamp on the other and it was very equal right though the first 20 minutes until Burton ran in a great try just inside the first 20 minutes.
Into the 2nd 20 minutes Burton continued on attacking the Moseley’s defence and great team work through the forwards and the backs saw Burton run in some great tries.
Moseley retaliated and ran in 2 tries and 1 conversion.
Into the 3rd 20 minutes and Burton started to put well drilled moves together and rack the points up.
Final score Burton 43 - Moseley 12.
Well done to Dan Burns for a well deserved man of the match.
A great return for Jacob and Cameron both carrying the ball well and gaining ground for the team.
Well done to Big John for a great pick and go out of the scrum and plough through the Moseley defence like they where bowling pins knocking them left, right and centre.
Josh had a great game and scored a great try, your ball carrying and tacking is superb.
A superb try yet again for Riley with his fancy footwork chipping on twice and managing to win the race to the try line and score.
Well done to all the new lads for taking part and having some pitch time to build your confidence.
I have been holding off mentioning a certain person for being called biased but after todays performance and comments from other parents I have to mention The Beast (Khy) his tackling every week is phenomenal he puts his body on the line, he always looks to try and gain that extra mtr for the team and his vocal commands to get the lads going and motivated especially in the forwards is starting to show.
All in all today a great performance and it shows what the lads can achieve when they work together.
