Second-half switch-off doesn't influence result

A frantic opening spell saw Leek enjoy plenty of possession on Peel Croft before winger Tom Benjamin seized on a loose ball , bumped his nearest opponent and then weaved his wavy to score under the posts. Harry Titley made it 7-0 to The Crofters.
Tom Harris, Benjamin and Eddie Nicholls then made good runs to take play into the Leek twenty Two and Skipper Titley added three points from a penalty.
Burton were straight back on the offensive with Francisco Zeleme, Joe Gazzard, James Davies and Nick Oxley combining to score from within their ow half. Titley made n mistake with the conversion.
Burton ran the kick back but leek than got their foot-hold in the game and then great inter-play from their centres opened up a three on one and they opened their account in the corner.
The next few minutes saw Leek enjoy the better of possession and territory before the power of the Burton pack told after a driving maul when Davies, Joel Briggs and Josh Cartwright surged forward before quick ball allowed Tom Harris to surge forward and produce a sublime off-load to Joe Gazzard who crossed to score. Titley added the two extra points.
Harris who had made numerous powerful carries and several astute passes left the field with a shoulder injury left the field with a shoulder injury to be replaced by youngster Jeri Oldfield with Gazzard moving to Lock.
A strong counter attack from Dewi Williams was followed by smart inter-play by Jack Brooks and Davies, from which the Hooker ran clear to score. Titley converted.
Alex Gale ran the kick-off back to half way before some slick hands from Burton provide Benjamin with the ball on half-way and the youngster then streaked clear for try which Titley converted.
Leek enjoyed the better of the closing stages of the first-half and were ultimately rewarded for their efforts with a good territorial position and a Yellow Card for Jack Neale. From the subsequent line-out their forwards barged over for a try after several phases.
After the start of the second half Burton made progress through slick handling. Leek then drove a maul before Titley pinned them back with a great touch-finder. Leek retrieved the ball and kicked ahead only to be denied by superb defensive work by Nick Oxley. In the next play Davies gathered a loose pass in his own half and showed his athleticism to run in a try from his own half.
Oxley relived the pressure wot a great counter-attack before a knock-on by Leek. Burton kicked the ball away before they retrieved the ball and a long pass from Jack Brooks was gathered who by Dewi Williams who scored in the left hand corner to raise the fifty for Burton.
Josh Shaw and Elliot Grant joined the action.
Leek enjoyed a spell of pressure resulting in an unconverted try to make the score 50-17. Burton produced some fine handling to spin the ball out to Grant on the Right Wing. The ball was then brought back in field before Zeleme crashed over for a try which Benjamin converted.
Burton were in total disarray from the re-start and Leek secured a converted try. A combination of a resurgence from Leek and Burton switching off then saw the visitors add a penalty, a try and a converted try to make the score 57-34.
The final act of the game was a 60 metre weaving run form Oxley to make the final score 62-39 in the favour of Burton.
