Following a disappointing result at Stoke last weekend Burton were looking to get back to winning ways again as they faced Kenilworth at Battlestead Croft. They looked well on course to do just that as the half-time whistle approached, with them leading 26-10, having already secured a try bonus point. Kenilworth were a player down following a red card and had one player on his way to hospital following an arm injury earlier in the half. Unfortunately another Kenilworth player then suffered a serious neck injury following a line-out and the game was abandoned to allow his injury to be assessed properly before moving him. Everyone connected with Burton RFC send their best wishes to both injured players for a speedy and full recovery. The game now has to be re-scheduled for later in the season.
