A supporter of the club for a number of years, Nigel suddenly passed away at home on 9th March aged 53.

Nigel, leaves his partner Jannine and his 3 wonderful daughters Georgina, Abby and Olivia.

Abby who has been a constant member of our Mini Junior section from the age of 7, was actively supported by Nigel and Jannine, both willing volunteers within the club. Nigel supported Abby's teams as both coach and team administrator. Nigel was always keen to offer his considered opinion and was a passionate advocate of the Rugby First initiative and developing girls rugby at the club.

Nigel will be sadly missed by everyone who met him. He was a larger than life character, with an even bigger personality - coupled with a rapier wit. He will forever be in our thoughts.

The funeral will be held at Bretby Crematorium on Tuesday 22nd March at 9.45am, followed by an informal gathering at the Rugby Club.

All are welcome to attend the funeral and /or the wake, but no children please.

Donations to Centrepoint charity for Homeless Young People are gratefully received in lieu of flowers.
