It was great to see our membership numbers grow in this age group this year, with 18 girls contributing to a tremendous season. We had a much younger team this year, with most of the team consisting of Year 6 girls, some of whom had never played rugby before. This meant we had a team full of players ready and willing to learn the game.

They have worked so hard to develop their skills and, in some cases, learn the game from scratch. It’s been fantastic to witness the squad's development, and we have seen some incredible team performances.

What has been even more amazing to see is the way the girls have gelled together and brought out the best in one another. Every single player has represented BRFC with the TREDS values on display during every training session and every match. They have been dominant at times, and at others, they have shown true grit and determination to keep their heads up even when things weren’t going their way.

Our team were inspired by a visit from Millie David, who shortly after her visit to our training session went on to be selected for the England Roses!

The day the World Cup Trophy paid a visit to BRFC was also a massive highlight, bringing the team together to share a truly wonderful experience.

This group of girls have been an absolute delight to work with, and we are excited to see them develop further. We wish our four older girls all the best as they continue their journey in the U14 next season.
