The U12 had a very mixed season. It started off with some really tough fixtures against Derby and Lichfield, and it took a while for the boys to settle and start playing the rugby we had seen in previous years.

After some tough structured training sessions, it was great to see the boys start playing some much-improved team rugby. After the Christmas break, the performances picked up, and we finished the season strong, with some good results and tough battles.

We had a number of new players join us throughout the season, some new to rugby and some who transferred from other clubs. All slotted into the team brilliantly and played their part in some great games.

The U12 were responsible for organising the mini tour this year, which was held at Mount Cook Activity Centre in Matlock. 150 children and parents headed over to The centre for the weekend and had an amazing time, with two great games of rugby against Belper on Saturday and Leek on Sunday. A special thank you must go to our amazing tour committee for all their hard work in organising it.

Now that our mini’s journey is over, we are excited to move up to U13 junior rugby and experience what it has to offer our team. Roll on next season!!
