It has been another memorable season for the Under 13 Boys. Our season began with several injuries and some challenges around squad numbers. Thankfully, we were soon joined by a number of new players and their families, all of whom settled in well and became an important part of the squad.

The boys adapted quickly to the new rules, including pushing in the scrum, which became one of our strengths in many games.

We had some close, hard-fought matches with our local rivals and showed real composure, despite not always getting the results we wanted. Towards the end of the season, we found ways to get ourselves back into games when initially under pressure, which was pleasing to see.

Most importantly, we played the game in the right spirit, showing respect, teamwork, and camaraderie. As has been the pattern from the very start, the team continued to build friendships and memories that will last far beyond the season.

Across 23 matches, the boys recorded 14 wins, 4 losses, and 5 draws, a record they can be proud of. Our end-of-year tour to Wales was a memorable highlight. While the results weren’t what we were aiming for, the boys displayed great character, resilience, and team spirit throughout the trip.

A massive thank you goes to our team manager, Kelly Hughes, who has been instrumental in providing our players with additional experiences and opportunities, enriching their time with the team far beyond the field.

Our End of Year Awards night saw the following players recognised for their contributions this season:

We now look forward to next season, stepping up to 15-a-side rugby on a full pitch as we continue our rugby journey together.
