What a season it’s been for our Burton U10. This year has been full of growth, challenges, laughs, learning, and some fantastic rugby memories. Every child has played their part in making this such a special season.
The biggest thing for us has been watching how much the players have developed — not just individually, but as a team. This season introduced a whole new side of rugby with rucks, scrums, mauls, counter-rucking, and more physical aspects of the game, and the way the kids embraced those challenges was outstanding. Week by week, we saw confidence grow, teamwork improve, and a real understanding of the game begin to shine through.
There were tough games where we had to dig deep, games where we were outplayed, and games where we absolutely rose to the occasion. But no matter the result, the players' effort and commitment never disappeared. The courage they showed — getting back up after knocks, supporting teammates, listening to feedback, and constantly trying to improve — made us incredibly proud.
One of the highlights of the season has been seeing the relationships within the squad grow. The support they show each other on and off the pitch is something really special, and it’s clear this group has become much more than just teammates.
Away from matchdays, we also had some brilliant experiences together — from our Christmas ice-skating social to fitness sessions, mascot days with the 1st team, tours, festivals, Tigers Take-overs, and all the little moments in between that make rugby what it is.

Thank you to the players. You’ve represented Burton with pride, passion, and fantastic attitudes all season long. As coaches, we couldn’t ask for more.
What a way to finish our season as U10.
As we head into our U11 season, we'd also like to give a massive shout-out to our fantastic sponsors for their support:
A huge thank you to Jamie and the team at Howden for kitting us out with our new match-day kit, and to Tom at WAS and Joe at Applied Inspection for providing the squad with some brilliant new training kit.
Their support makes a huge difference to the team and helps give our players a real sense of pride every time they pull on a Burton shirt.
We're incredibly grateful for your support and can't wait to see the kids wearing the new kit next season.
