Burton's Under-8s section has had a very positive season.
We currently have 30 players, with consistently strong attendance at both training sessions and match days. The squad size has allowed for good rotation and inclusive participation for all players.
In terms of matches, the focus has remained on player development rather than results. The team has shown clear progress in core skills such as passing, tagging, teamwork, and game awareness.
They continue to demonstrate our TREDS values weekly. Confidence continues to grow across the group, with players becoming more comfortable applying skills in game situations, thoroughly enjoying games, and really getting stuck in.
Big shout-out to our sponsor, Willshee's Aggregates, for supporting us again this season, supplying the full kit for all players and plenty of stash for the coaches.
Overall, the emphasis has been on enjoyment, learning, and good sportsmanship. The group has shown a great attitude and enthusiasm, and the players are representing the club positively during every home and away fixture.
We are pleased with the progress so far and look forward to being Under-9s.
