This season for the U6 has been a big one. We ended up with 50 members and 75 children trying rugby at some point this season, which has been brilliant.
At the beginning of the season, we concentrated on skills like passing and catching, taking tags, and evasive running.
After Christmas, we started playing games of tag rugby. The kids took to this like ducks to water. We decided to alternate between games and skills, which worked really well.
We ended up with a fantastic group of coaches with a good mix of under-5 and under-6 coaches. Next year, this age group will be in great hands.
Finally, we would like to thank our shirt sponsors - the Toyoya Trust & the parents who came, whatever the weather, and stood on the sidelines encouraging everyone.
