Little Ruggers

We're going to take the opportunity over the summer to catch up with all the teams within the Club, and we don't believe there's a better place to start than with our Little Ruggers.

For those who don't know what Little Ruggers is all about, it's fun and laughter for families with children aged 1 to 4 years old. Such a special way to spend a Sunday morning. Nursery styled games and activities to help little ones build confidence, balance and coordination.

Here's a review of their season from Louise Stoakes:

As we come to the end of another fantastic Little Ruggers season, we look back on what has been an amazing year.

At the beginning of the season in September 2025, we ran eight sessions with an average attendance of 44 children per session. Following Christmas, we held another eight sessions with an average of 40 children attending per week.

These are absolutely brilliant numbers and show just how much Little Ruggers continues to grow each year.

On 26th April, we held an induction session for the children turning 5 within the next school year, as they will move up to the U6S in September. The session gave the children the opportunity to meet the coaches and experience training with their new team. We had 17 children attend the induction, with even more children moving up who were unable to make the session.

Our Little Ruggers team consists of me as Manager/Coach, Paul as Coach, and Nickee and Kerry, who help run the admin side each week. We also had support during the year from Callum, Isla & Keavey.

We would like to say a huge farewell and thank you to Keavey, who has been a regular face at Little Ruggers for many years. Keavey has helped support Little Ruggers for the last seven years and will be leaving us to head off to university in September. We wish you all the best for the future and thank you for everything you have done for Little Ruggers.

We are incredibly proud of every child who has attended throughout the season and grateful to all the parents and volunteers for their continued support.

We are already excited to see what numbers next season will bring when we return on Sunday, 6th September 2026.

If you want to find out more about attending or getting involved in Little Ruggers as a volunteer, then take a look at their Facebook page - BRFC Little Ruggers.
