The applicant must attend a school or college within the county of Staffordshire or be a resident within the Staffordshire County Council administrative area. Athletes who live outside the County due to studying (e.g. university) or training commitments may still be eligible only if their parents/guardians address is in the Staffordshire County Council administrative area. Please note that if you live AND attend school or college within the Stoke-on-Trent City Council administrative area, you are not eligible to apply for this funding.

Applicants competing in Olympic/Sport England sports must have a date of birth between 1st September 1991 and 31st August 2002.

Applicants competing in Paralympic sports must have a date of birth between 1st September 1981 and 31st August 2002.

Applicants must provide evidence from the relevant National Governing Body (NGB) that they are a member of a national development or performance squad in one of the sports listed below.

Priority is given to those who are not yet eligible for other existing funding schemes, such as Lottery funding.
