Nick had hoped to make the former players lunch in November, but his health decided otherwise and he had to give it a miss. During his playing days he would turn out most Saturdays with his obligatory half time fag in his pocket!

Then along with his wife Sue they went through the trials and tribulations of mini junior rugby every Sunday as their family was growing up. As a GP he was doctor to many in Burton and plenty of people will have stories to tell about Nick, all positive but usually pretty funny too.

Nick's funeral service will be held at St James Church, Barton under Needwood on Wednesday 29th March at 1.00pm and followed by a private family committal at Bretby Crematorium. His wake is being held at Battlestead Croft.
Family flowers only please but donations in memory of Nick for either St Giles Hospice or Bowel Cancer UK may be placed in the donation box at the end of the service.
