The event is open to teams of 10 of all ages, sexes and abilities (the only criteria is each competitor must be 1 metre tall!). We are looking for local businesses, pubs, groups, sports teams, families or friends to make up a team and take part in this fun event initially shown on the BBC in 1966 but made a household name in the 1970’s with the help of presenters Stuart Hall and Eddie Waring and their unique broadcasting skills and humour. The cost of entering a team of 10 is £400 and we ask that £100 is payable on application with the remaining £300 paid 1 month before the event i.e. by 11 August 2011. How you pay the entrance fee is up to you but as an suggestion each team member could raise £40 each (for example 20 people sponsor them at £2 each).- we will supply sponsorship forms to all teams.

The event will be hosted by Dave John B and his Disco Roadshow will keep you entertained throughout the event and during the breaks between games. If you remember the original version of the game you will not be surprised to learn there will be inflatable's, funny costumes and plenty of water on the day.- I regret I cannot provide Stuart and Eddie though!

There is also sponsorship of the whole event available and sponsorship of each individual game-further information can be provided by myself and we will offer a discount on the sponsorship if you are already entering a team in the event.

The It’s a Knockout event will be the highlight of a day’s programme of events at the Rugby Club with food and drink available all day and other sideshows and stalls for you to visit and enjoy within the ground. Further information will be available over the next few weeks regarding other entertainment on the day.
