After careful consideration and extensive consultation with clubs across England, the RFU have decided to delay the start of the competitive community game season until the week commencing Monday 21 September - this impacts all matches at Burton from the senior Men's and Ladies' game, all the way through to Mini & Juniors.

While the original plan for all our Senior and Junior teams to take part in competitive fixtures has been delayed, we will work to ensure all teams have good activity throughout September.

The senior teams will extend their pre-season prep into September with a number of exciting friendlies, and the Mini & Junior section plan to adapt their approach to non-contact rugby within their scheduled fixtures.

Please note: Party on the Pitch is unaffected and will go ahead as planned on Saturday, 19th September.

We're fully supportive of the RFU's decision as player welfare is our priority - hard, dry pitches increase the risk of injury, particularly in the opening weeks of the season when players are returning to full contact.
