In conjunction with the School Sports Partnership & Burton RFC Community Dept, the RFU are running a one day introduction to contact rugby fun day for years 5 & 6. The aim of the day is to introduce the Children to aspects of the game that are played at the club on Sunday mornings.

There will be a basic introduction to Tackling, scrumaging and Kicking as well as the usual handing and game based activities used in the ‘tag’ version of the game.

Children are recommended to bring a gum shield (can be bought from most sports shops £2-£10), packed lunch/water, trainers and boots.
The day will start at 10.00, registration from 9.15am, collection at 3.30pm and will be held at Burton RFC, Peel Croft (opposite Dunelm).

A small charge of £2.00 will be charged, payable on the day.

There are limited places available which means you MUST contact Simon Hincks (RFU Community Rugby Coach) to reserve a place.
