The club renovation project and a call to arms.
Are there any volunteers who can spare 2-4 hours slots this Sat and Sun so we can get the club ready for a big weekend on the 15 and 16th June "The Nat West Rugby Force" where we hope to have a real big couple of days to paint the whole clubhouse and many other tasks besides to improve what we have here and make us even prouder than what we are!!
What we want to do is the following:
Clean, scrape, wire brush, fill, sand, all the surfaces so they are ready to be painted. Get everywhere clear of posters, notice boards, cabinets, and any other items in the way for painting. Clean down the surfaces ready. Remove the shop and also the kitchen units ready for the B&Q fit out. Weed, clean up rubbish, litter pick etc etc
We also on Sunday need to try and paint the club-room ceiling if possible (at least one coat) ensure that the club is ready and clean for Buster's funeral wake on Friday.
If you are coming down let me know please by Email Kev Wrathall and what you can bring down tools/materials wise as below:
Can you bring down any tools required to carry out this work namely, scrapers, wire brushes, filler trowels, step ladder (definite), bin bags, sand papers 400 & 100, electric sanders, masking tape and plastic sheets/covers etc if you have them, screwdrivers, hammers, cleaning buckets.
We want to get as far as we can by the end of the 16th June so the preparation this weekend is key to enable that to happen.
Lets make this happen and really upgrade the best club in the land.
