All Burton Coaches / Team Managers / Support Staff you are invited to the Burton RFC coach development evening. The guest coaches leading the sessions offer a huge wealth of experience and will undoubtedly strengthen your understanding in key areas.

Following the success of the last coach development night organised last season, Burton Rugby Club are organising another session aimed to give coaches some more skills, drills and ideas to help you develop through the season. The programme for the night is listed below:

6.45pm All players and coaches arrive

7.00pm start – players and coaches to rotate around 3 areas for approx. 30 minutes each

Session 1 Nick Adams (Wasps, Nottingham, Rugby Lions) Developing contact skills, i.e. taking the ball into contact, ruck, maul, etc for junior players

Session 2 Tom Barlow (Sale, Nottingham) Lines of running

Session 3 John Widdowson (Nottingham Academy, Hull) Handling skills & ideas using different equipment for handling.

The night will be full of ideas and aims to help coaches develop new skills with young players of all ages.
