Burton Colts played with a much changed team due to injuries and abscenes against a Uttoxeter side
Uttoxeter only had 14 players so resulted in starting the game with 14 a side, the first half was competitive with Uttoxeter having the majority of possession but unable to finish attacks.It was Burton who scored first following a line out near half way Cam S broke through for a try under the posts which was converted by Charlie Wright. Uttoxeter did manage to get back in the game with a try from their winger but could not convert leaving the half time score at 7-5 to Burton.
The second half was similar with Burton unable to maintain possession however two breakaway tries put Burton into a dominant position in the game. The first by Conner B adn the second by Bill M who was making his debut for Burton.
During the second half Uttoxeter lost one of their players to an injury and Burton player Kinny offered to pull on a shirt to keep the game going at 14 a side. There were 2 yellow cards for Burton for high tackles in the second half.
Uttoxeter did get another try which took the final score to Burton 19 Uttoxeter 12.
