First Third
The Barbarian squad made a fantastic start in their first ever game under floodlights and after just ten minutes Jack Cardwell had scored two tries and Ollie Gibbs kicked two conversions. It took until the end of the first third for Tamworth to get in to the game and they scored a try from the 25 meters. The score after the first third was 14-5 to the Barbarians.
Second Third
Full of confidence the Barbarians started the second half strong but Tamworth started to turn possession into points. As Tamworth took more of the ball they moved it quickly along the line and managed to run in four tries and three conversions. The second third had given the Barbarians an opportunity to play some of their new players and experiment with players in different positions.
Final Third
By the final third Tamworth were well and truly back into the game and were attacking at every opportunity. Tamworth managed a further four tries and converted them. The Barbarians showed their determination and never gave up which rewarded them with a further try and conversion towards the end of the final third.
The Barbarians showed some great team work and played with determination against a strong Tamworth side. Man of the Match Charlie George.
