Paviors V Burton

A sunny Sunday morning saw us take on Paviors at their ground, unfortunately we only had 13 players, so Paviors kindly lent us a couple.

Paviors established control early on, winning the first three scrums, this being due to Burton missing some key players in the pack. This led to some front foot ball from Paviours enabling them to score two quick trys out on the wing early in the game, despite some good solid tackling from both Mitchell and Joe.

Paviors managed to earn a 5m penalty and whilst the teams were getting sorted a quick Paviors player managed to score a further try. Some great tackling from Burton did not manage to stop a very quick Paviors players from scoring yet another try.

Paviors last try for the first half saw Mitchell, Burton’s Full Back put in two massive tackles but the supporting play of Paviors enabled them to still score.

On a positive note Burton did not hang their heads and started to get back into the game managing to win some territory and upset Paviors style of play.

Half time 29-0

The half time talk seem to have fired up the Burton pack who came out fighting and were rewarded with a try from Tom Harrison, the first of the game.

Paviors managed to match this with a very fast paced player scoring a try.

Burton were still fighting to stay in the game & some great team work saw Joe score his first well deserved try for Burton & converted by Ollie.

Legs were getting very tired for Burton by now, already borrowing players and with no subs, they kept fighting but could not handle the pace of the Paviors wingers who managed to score a further two trys.

A good team effort on a very warm Sunday morning and lacking several players. A special mention to both Mitchell and Joe for some great tackling and Joe for his first try for Burton.
