Burton V Derby A

Burton having been joined with Barton for much of the season, had one of their first games as a Burton only team consisting of many very new players, playing their very first game of rugby. The game was meant to be against Derby's development team, but due to a prior commitment we played their A team.

The experience of the Derby A showed very strongly in the first half with them scoring 4 trys and converting them all.

The second half was similar with them scoring a further 5 trys and converting 4 of them. Burton did manage 1 try and a conversion.

It was a hard game for the Burton lads, but they worked well as a team and in true Burton style never gave up trying against a very experienced team.
